Basking in Bridgerton
An immersion in Bridgerton’s Bath
Lovers of the decidedly spicy costume drama about high-society life in Regency England will probably know that one of the show's undoubted stars is Bath. The first series is full of shots of our city’s gorgeous Georgian-ness. And we know just the man to give you a behind-the-scenes tour.
That man is Fred Mawer, a Bath resident and Blue Badge tour guide (the UK's highest qualification in guiding). Fred will take you on a walking tour of the city's Bridgerton locations, including the exteriors of the homes of Lady Danbury (which is pretty much one of our neighbours) and the Featheringtons. He’ll reveal insider Bridgerton nuggets, the history behind the featured locations, and look at how Bridgerton's depiction of the early 1800s compares with how life actually was. If Fred is unavailable, then you’ll be shown around by an alternative Blue Badge-qualified tour guide specialising in Bath.
The Basking in Bridgerton offer includes:
A two-night stay in a Pulteney Room or Henrietta Room, breakfast on both mornings, afternoon tea on one of the days, dinner one of the evenings, and the two-hour walking tour.
Prices are from £726 and based on two guests sharing a room.
