Food & Drink

Great ingredients in the hands of talented folk

Our kitchen and bar team cleverly conjure the essence of great British escapes to create dishes and drinks that feel familiar and original all at once.

There’s the smoky whisky cocktail that transports you to a walk through the heather on the Scottish moors. And the trout so delicately fresh that it’s as though you’re fly-fishing in the chalk-stream perfection of the River Test. Those moments of escape from everyday life to revel in the wonder of our island’s charms is, for us, something to treasure and share.

The Restaurant

In the easy-going elegance of our restaurant, our chef and his team serve comfort food, fun food and never-tried-that-before food. Chef calls it Wild British food.

The Bar

Our darling front-room bar is a much-loved meeting place for locals and guests seeking morning coffee, afternoon liveners, crafted cocktails and cosy fireside night-caps.

Private Dining

The Pulteney Room can be all yours for a dinner in what can only be described as one of Bath’s grandest dining rooms. Seating 16, it’s for those occasions when only the best will do.

Picnicking

When the sun shines on Bath, people go picnicking in the park. Why not let us fill a hamper with British goodies and lend you a blanket so you can lunch like a local?

Afternoon Tea

The afternoon tea is a British tradition that’s particularly big in Bath. A must, if you like. Whether you take it in the bar or the restaurant, we’ll make sure it’s a charming treat.

Sunday Lunch

It’s an institution, the great British Sunday roast. It’s one of those homely, like-mum-used-to-make meals that inspires the gathering of friends and family. See you on Sunday?
