Our bar quenches thirsts for stories as well as mighty fine drinks. There’s a steam train running along the cornice and across the windows to nod to York’s proud status as one of the UK’s oldest railway towns. And then there’s Lady Rhubarb in the bar’s main. This grandly-framed, aristocratic painted lady in her whimsical rhubarb garb represents Yorkshire’s amazing way of growing this fruit by candlelight.

If the beach right at your doorstep and opening the doors to a private balcony with front row sea views sounds like your beach dream come true, you’ll want to be making yourself comfortable in of these rooms.
